August 30 ~ Friday

This morning Sarah and i picked up the rental car and I shopped with Jeff and made casserole.
Sarah's battery died and she had AAA come out and give her a new one.
We finished Minority Report.

August 29 ~ Thursday

Spent the day listing on eBay, then went to AAA, the post office and picked up the kids.
Jeff went to karate and tonight we started Minority Report.

August 28 ~ Wednesday

Happy Birthday Jeff!!!!
And it was also the first day of school.
Jeff and I went to the Post Office, the pet shop, OSH, Vons picked up the kids and came home.
The kids went to karate, I made casserole and cupcakes and we watched Under the Dome.

August 27th ~ Tuesday

We went to Dr G's this morning and picked up a free guinea pig cage which I sol later in the afternoon.
I dropped Jeff at karate and took the kids to the dollar store, 99¢ store and the Goodwill.
I picked up Jeff and we came home and watched Continuum.

August 26 ~ Monday

Today Shel came over for awhile.
The kids went to Karate and we watched Continuum.

August 25 ~ Sunday

This morning we picked up a 55 gallon plexiglass from Camarillo. then got home and picked up a ton of stuff from a house in Dos Vientos. I cleaned the kitchen, cook eggplant parmesan and stuffed zucchini while watching Tremors the Beginning.
Tonight we finished War of the Worlds.

Jef went to karate this morning then we picked up a free console color TV from Agoura Hills.

August 23 ~ Friday

We went and picked up free canary this morning.
Later I went to the 99¢ store, market and dollar store with Katherine and Jeffrey in the evening.
We finished Freejack tonight.

August 22 ~ Thursday

Katherine went with Shel to the library.
I made casserole for lunch and picked up some free posters.
Jeff went to karate and tonight we watched Freejack.

August 21 ~ Wednesday

Today was 7th grade orientation at school.
On the way home we went to the 99¢ store.
I took the kids to karate and then spent the hour talking with Tracie.
I went by the thrift store and got some Mickey Feet slippers for Sarah.
I dropped Jeffrey off at Masons tonight and picked up Jeff on the way home.
We watched the last half ot THX.

August 20 ~ Tuesday

I took Katherine over to Shel's house today.
Jeff and I picked up ceiling tiles for the dojo.
Tonight we watched Under the Dome.

August 19 ~ Monday

Jeff went to court this morning in regard to the American Express money and we WON!
YEAH!
Karate today and we watched the first half of THX-1138 tonight.

August 18 ~ Sunday

Katherine and I went to 99¢ store for duct tape this morning and stopped at Kohl's on the way home.
I went and picked up free stuff from a house near Newbury Park High.
Katherine spent the afternoon making Duct Tape Flowers.
I made casserole and we watched the other half of Stargate.

August 17 ~ Saturday

Spent the morning cleaning.
This afternoon Katherine and I went and picked up a free hexagon aquarium for free from a garage sale.
Erin brought her boyfriend Alex over to visit for a few hours.
I made more enchiladas this afternoon and tonight we watched the first half of the movie Stargate.

August 16 ~ Friday

This morning I cleaned the carpets and this afternoon we went shopping for enchilada ingredients.
I made them this evening while watching Wedding Singer.
Tonight we watched Primeval again.

I took Katherine over to Shel's house and I stayed and visited with Hannah for awhile.
Tonight we watched Primeval. 

August 12 ~ Monday

Sally came out with Roy and spent the day with me.
I took the kids to karate and took Sarah to Costco before coming back and picking them up.

This morning Katherine and I ran down to the dollar store to pick up a few things for breakfast then came home and made pancakes.
I took a shower and cleaned the kitchen while watching Elvira on the little kitchen TV.
Jeff and I went and picked up some stuff including a little playhouse from John late this afternoon.
TOnight we watched Secret Millionaire.

I took Jeff to karate this morning and went to the 99¢ store and picked up Jeffrey on the way home.
I cleaned the living room and a lady came took home the last hamster.

We took Sarah to the doc this morning.

This afternoon we picked up a free 10 gallon tank and then took Jeffrey to Sawyer's house.

Here come the tomatoes! And another eggplant and the first of the Wee-Be-Little pumpkins!

This morning Katherine and I went and picked up a free Beta (this one is blue).
We stopped at the 99¢ store and the Dollar Tree on the way home.
I went to ladies house who was giving away a bunch of free stuff (same lady I got from a few weeks back) and then sorted through it at home.
Jeff went to Karate and I made casserole.

We went to see Dr G this morning then Talullah the poodle came for a visit.

HELP we're being invaded by Zucchinis!

Spent the morning working on the rooms.
While the kids were at Karate and I was the Dollar Store, there was  HUGE clydesdale horse standing out front with it's owner.
When we got home i made casserole and tonight we watched an old Warehouse 13.

August 4 ~ Sunday

We got some free fish food this morning. Its a huge can of really expensive and good the goldfish.
We drove out to Hollywood and picke Sarah's tuff that she had moved out there when she thought she might move out there.
We got it all home and continued working on moving the rooms.
Tonight we watched Falling Skies.

Happy 14th Birthday Katherine!!!!

This morning I took Jeff to Karate and I went out shopping.
After I picked him up we came home and cleaned the house, went to the post office, went to Vons then Home Depot and came home.
Erin and Kevin came over to celebrate Katherine's birthday and have dinner (lasagna) and cupcakes.
Jeff and I ran down to Camarillo and grabbed a 70 gallon fish tank for free then when we got home we watched Eureka.

This morning we loaded up the car and took Alex to college.
After we dropped him off we drove back home and started moving the rooms around.
Tonight we watched Continuum.

August 1 ~ Thursday

We took Alex shopping today to pick up the last of the things he needed for college.
Which included Costco for a TV.
Then Jeff and I went out to do some shopping and went o lunch at Sharkey's. YUM!
I made casserole for dinner and then helped Alex pack.
We watched Eureka tonight.

Jeff and I went and picked up a bunch of free stuff from around the corner.
Then we went to the bank, the dojo and the market to get stuff to make chili tonight.
I sorted through stuff with Katherine this afternoon and then went down and picked up a free hamster (which would in turn have a home found for it soon)..
I came home and made chili but had to run to the market to get tomatoes.
I set a bunch of stuff I didn't want out and a guy came to pick up in the evening.
Tonight we watched Eureka.

We took the maze Katherine made over to Hannah's today.
She gave Katherine $20! WOW!
We took Jeffrey and Alex to different friends houses and then we came home and worked in the garage.
John came over and spent some time talking to Jeff in the yard.

I took Jeff to Karate this morning and on the way home picked up a bunch of free stuff.
I took Alex to Kohl's, the cellphone place, Marshalls where we got him a wallet then picked up Jeff and went home.

We took Sarah for her court date this morning.

We took Jeffrey to get a haircut with the free coupon we got in the mail then went next door to the Dollar Tree.
Later in the afternoon we picked up some free water hyacinths.
I tried making a new cabbage dish for dinner which came out pretty good.

Later in the morning we drove out to Camarillo and picked up a free elliptical and on the way home we stopped by CSUCI and got some cactus cuttings along the side the road
We went to Home Depot and the Dollar Store and took a nice shower in the afternoon.
We got a free Iguana from a lady down the street from us.
On the way to the market we got a giant free birdcage.

We went to market and tried to go Costco but we were too late and they were closed.

This morning we drove Sarah out to her doctor's appt.
Spent the day trying to work through some of these issues we've been having and doing some laundry.
Sarah left to go see her boyfriend who is in town until Monday.

We spent most of the morning at the lawyers trying to work out issues with AmEx, our lawsuit and getting some funding for the dojo.
When we got home I drove Alex to Damon's house for a party.
I made more spaghetti tonight and we finished the pirate movie.
Alex got home close to midnight.

This morning we drove out to Simi Valley and went to Costco then went by someone's house and picked up a free turtle.
When we got home we made a bin for him to to stay in.

Jeff lost in the tomatoes.

This morning I had to get up at 5:30 and drive Alex to UC Santa Barbara for his overnight orientation.
When I got back home I went back to sleep for a few hours.
Tonight we watched Defiance.

Today we relaxed most of the day and watched some of the Pirates of the Caribbean marathon they had going on.
I made spaghetti and homemade sauce and we watched Falling Skies.

July 6 ~ Saturday

I took Jeff to karate and then Katherine and I went to recycle some of the stuff we've been saving.
She and I then went shopping to the 99¢ store, the dollar store, Joanns Fabric, the pet store and then picked up Jeff and came home.
In the late afternoon when it cooled off a bit Katherine and I built a planter for my succulents next the kitchen window.
It looks great.
Tonight we finished Blood and Chrome.

A couple of little critters who live in the bushes found some of the bird seed I threw out.

Jeff picked up some chain saw oil today and went out to Sensei's for a while in the afternoon.
We watched Continuum tonight.

I went to the market mid afternoon today and picked up hot dogs and ice cream and toppings so something yummy for the holiday.
We took Jeffrey to Sawyers in the early evening and we watched Blood and Chrome in the evening.

July 3 ~ Wednesday

This morning Jeff and I went to Home Depot to get a blind for the kids window to help cut down the heat and sunlight that comes in in the early part of the day. We stopped by the dojo to pick up an ice pack then came home and worked in the yard.
Jeff went to Karate (noone for the kids today) and we watched Primeval New World tonight.

July 2 ~ Tuesday

This morning Olivia came over and Jeff and I drove out to Ventura to pick up a free hamster cage so I can separate the hammies so they don't fight.
On the way home we stopped at Michaels to look for art supplies for Katherine.
We didn't find anything so when we got home I took Katherine and Olivia and we went Joannes and the 99¢ store to get some stuff.
The rest of the afternoon Jeff and I worked in the yard.

I slept in nice and late today.
Jeff finished making the parakeets bird house and we got installed on the back of the cage.
We both worked in the yard and garden for awhile despite the fact the temp was close to 100 degrees.
We went to the 99¢ store then to Costco to get some food then came home.

Jeff went to karate this morning and I stayed home and worked around the house.
In the mid afternoon I drove Alex (in the unbelievable HOT weather) over to Andrews house for a party.
In the evening Jeff and I went to the market and after trying to pick up Alex (he ended up staying later) we came back home.
I made casserole for dinner and we watched Continuum.

June 28 ~ Friday

Jeff had a private lesson with Mike today.
I went shopping, then picked him up and we stopped at Raphs for some produce and went home.
Most of the day was spent working in the yard and garden.
It was SO hot today almost 100 degrees.
We took a quick trip to the post office in the mid afternoon then came back and relaxed in the air conditioning.
Tonight we watched another Defiance.

June 27 ~ Thursday

I took the kids to the beach today.
Olivia was going to go with us but she changed her mind so I drove her home on the way there.
It was so hot by our house today (about 940 but down at the beach it was foggy and only 74.
I found a home for 2 of my parakeets this morning with a nice lady who has a huge aviary for them. Now the other 2 can be alone since it seems they are in love.
This evening we watched Defiance.

June 26 ~ Wednesday

We worked in the garden this morning then Jeff and I went out to Ralphs and stopped by the dojo.
The kids had Karate this afternoon and while I waited I went to the 99¢ store and the Goodwill where I picked up a nice older birdcage for $5.
I picked the kids up came home and talked to Kip on the phone for awhile.
I went back and picked up Jeff then came home and we watched Defiance tonight.

June 25 ~ Tuesday

Jeff and I picked up Jeffrey from Sawyers house around 10.
Olivia and Jacob came over for part of the day. I made casserole and mac n cheese for lunch.
Jeff and I worked in the yard until I drove Jeff & Jeffrey down to the dojo. I went to the 99¢ store then came around and picked Jeffrey up.
I picked up Jeff at 7 and brought him home.
We watched Warehouse 13 tonight.

June 24 ~ Monday

We drove up out to Moorpark this morning to pick 20+ fancy cinder blocks that we are going to use to make planters.
We stopped at Dr G's on the way home.
Jeff and I went out to the Dollar Store, the new post office and then stopped at the dojo where we met a lady who was asking about possibly renting the dojo during the day.
I took the kids to karate and when I picked them up I dropped Jeffery at Sayers and stayed and talked to Barbara for almost an hour.
I took Katherine home and then went back out get Jeff.
Tonight we watched Falling Skies,

This morning we drove Katherine and Jeffrey to the Simons.
On the way home we went to the 99¢ store and Home Depot for soil.
We worked in the yard most of the day.
They got driven home in the evening.

Sarah drove her to the airport.
Jeff went to Karate and I spent the morning catching up on this blog.
 In the afternoon we drove Jeffrey to his friends Martins house for an end of year party then Jeff and I went to Ralphs, got some gas and went to Costco.
After that we went across the street and picked up a dozen society finches for free from Petsmart.
We brought them home and set them up a cage.
We worked in the yard some and I made Tacos for dinner.
We picked Jeffrey up from the party at 7.
Tonight we watched Warehouse 13.

June 21 ~Friday

Today I took Alex, Jeffrey and Katherine to the beach late in the afternoon. We met Emily there and enjoyed the first long day of summer.
We got home around 7 PM and after running to the market to pick up cereal and a few other supplies we came home and watched Falling Skies. I sat up and talked to Em until almost midnight.

June 20 ~ Thursday

This morning I had another appt with Dr. G.
I spent the morning after that talking with Em and then I broke out the home movies and we watched our trip to to Russia to get Katherine.
Sarah drove Em out to see her friend Savannah and she's going to spend the night and meet us at the beach tomorrow.
I made hamburgers for dinner.
When Jeff got home from Karate we ran down the street and picked up a free baby red ear slider turtle and then a few blocks away picked up a huge box of packing peanuts and light table for drafting or slides (also all free).
We watched Falling Slides tonight.

Today Em finally got here and it was great to see her!
She came with me to drop the kids off at KArate and we went to the dollar store then picked them up and came home.

June 18 ~ Tuesday

This morning Jeff and I drove out to Ventura and got a nice big stand of Bamboo that had been dug out of someones yard.
We got it home and planted it.
Mark came out and took Alex and Sarah to The Man of Steel movie.
Jeff went to Karate. I picked up some free clothes for Katherine.
I made a casserole for dinner and we watched another Orpha Black.

June 17 ~ Monday

Our leaf pile is disappearing.

Another trip to Dr G this morning. CRACK!
Jeff had a private lesson with Mike Corr and during that time Katherine and I went shopping and the 99¢ store and the Goodwill.
When we all got home we worked in the yard.
The kids went to Karate this afternoon and after they were done I drove Jeffrey to Masons.
I picked up Jeff at Vons (John dropped him off there) and we came home and watched Orphan Black.

June 16 ~ Sunday

Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day!!
Erin and Kevin took us all out to lunch at Sooki's today.
It was really nice and we enjoyed their company.
At home we worked in the yard filling up the trash can and even were able to use the neighbor's can to get even more more stuff chopped up and thrown away.
We drove over to the dojo and picked up boxes and some bottle recycling.
At home I made cupcakes (finally) for Alex's graduation.
We watched Warehouse 13 tonight.

Out fake snake that scares the crows away so they don't pull up the pumpkin sprouts.

Katherine and I spent the morning cleaning.
Mark came out and took Alex and Sarah to lunch.
Then he dropped Alex off at a graduation party.
We worked in the yard and I made tacos for dinner.
We picked Alex up around 9:30 and came home and watched Continuum.

June 14 ~ Friday

This little bluebird is hanging around the yard every day.

I picked up Alex from Westlake at 5 AM this morning when he returned from Grad Nite.
(UGH no fun).
I came home and went back to bed for a couple of hours.
Jeff went out to the valley and visited his friend Terri and Katherine and I cleaned the kitchen and dining room.
The kids and i played with the hamsters and the birds for a little while.
Tonight we watched Orphan Black.

June 13 ~ Thursday

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALEX!!!!
A high school grad at last!
And with highest honors! We are SO proud of him!

Jeff, Katherine and I went to Alex's grad ceremony. We saw Arnold, Gloria and Mark there. We got there later than we should have and ended up not getting seats. But we found places in the shade and Katherine and I sat on the ground in the handicap section. We visited with Alex after the ceremony and then he took off for Grad Nite.

June 12 ~ Wednesday

Today was Alex's last day of graduation practice and the younger 2 got out of school early.
This evening I took Katherine over to Claire's so they could finish their social studies project. I stayed there and visited with Justine while they worked.
When we were done Katherine and I went to Costco then came around and picked up Jeff from Karate.
We continued watching Orphan Black tonight.

June 11 ~ Tuesday

The new editions, Buttercup and Tinker Bell.

This morning Jeff and I went out to Camarillo to pick up 2 little dwarf hamsters.
We picked up the kids then came home and Jeff planted the pumpkins.
My lower back went out this morning so I had to take easy the whole day trying to make it feel better.
While Jeff was Karate, I played monopoly with Jeffrey and Katherine.
Jeffrey won.
Another Orphan Black tonight. Great show!

The tomatoes are getting ready to ripen.

Alex had the first of 3 graduation practices this morning.
No more school for him!
I had an appt with Dr G.
Basic Monday with the kids going to Karate and me shopping while I waited to bring them home.
I made burgers for dinner and we watched Orphan Black.

This is what Katherine's hair looked like yesterday after she slept in curlers so it would be all fancy for the choir show.

I picked up Alex from Joyce's this morning around 10 AM and then dropped Katherine off at Claire's for them to work on s project and spend some time swimming.
I talked to Em on the phone for awhile looking forward to her visit this week.
I picked Katherine up in the afternoon, did some grocery shopping, made spaghetti at home and worked in the yard with Jeff.
We watched Falling Skies tonight.

Jennifer, Joyce and Alex all dressed up and ready to go.

I took Jeff to Karate this morning, picked up some cat food and then headed home.
Katherine and I spent some time cleaning this morning then we took a bunch of plastic recycling down to the machines and made $30.
Jeff stayed at Karate because he had a girl scout safety seminar.
I took Katherine to her choir show and helped sell baked goods.
When that was all done we went and picked up Jeff.
At home we worked in the yard until it was time to take Alex to meet up with Joyce and go to prom.
We watched Orphan Black tonight.
