April 15

Today Jeff did Sarah's taxes.
There was a bad bombing at the Boston marathon so that was on TV all day.
Jeff and I picked up some ink at Staples before picking up the kids. I took Alex to Game Stop, went by the 99¢ store and them picked up the kids from Karate.
I made spaghetti for dinner and watched Once Upon a Time with J & K.
This evening we watched another Elementary.

April 14

The trampoline

Sunday and time to relax.
We watched Journey to the Center of the Earth and several NCIS this afternoon.
Alex and Sarah went to the Magic Castle with their grandparents.
Katherine finally came home late after spending 3 days at Gabby's.
Jeff and I went to the market, stopped into Subway and got me a sandwich then we came home and watched Elementary.

April 13

The dresser we picked up today.

Jeff went to Karate this morning and when he got home we played another game of Carcassone with Jeffrey.
Then we took Sarah to Costco to buy a box of nicotine patches to help her quit smoking.
I had an ad on Craig's List that I wanted a free trampoline and someone called me to tell me they had one.
We drove down to Camarillo and picked it up, disassembling it it first.
When we got home the kids helped unload it from the car and carry it around to the back yard where Jeff got it all set up pretty quick.
Alex and I went and picked up an old (VERY HEAVY) dresser from around the corner that someone was giving away and when we got back I made hamburgers and then Jeff and I played Munchkin with Jeffrey.
We watched another episode of Dr Who tonight.

April 12

The new game we are playing.

This morning Jeff and relaxed in bed for a while, took a shower then played a new game we hadn't played before called Carcassonne.
It was a lot of fun.
Then Jeff drove out to the valley to see a friend and I picked up Alex (stopped at Bristol Farms and got a yummy cinnamon loaf) then went and picked up Jeffrey.
Katherine had gone home with Gabby.
We stopped at the 99¢ store on the way home.
Jeffrey and I played Carcassonne two times and we had a lot of fun.
When Jeff got home we went out for cat food and then watched Dr Who.

April 11

The free parrot cage

Alex got out early today so we had to make the school run twice.
After the second run Jeff and I went down the street and picked up a free birdcage a lady was giving away.
I was hoping it would be good for the parakeets but the bars were too far apart so I will see if i can trade it for a larger parakeet cage.
After Jeff left for the dojo, Katherine and I cleaned the house and i made meatloaf.
We found a home for the little dog we brought home because she was deathly afraid of the cats.
I felt bad to see her go but I think it's better than her being scared all the time.

April 10

Ally takes a snooze.

Tonight while Jeff was at the dojo the kids and I played Zombie Dice and Tsuro.
And we watched a new NCIS-LA in the evening

April 9

The Geraniums we planted in the front of the house.

Another typical, non eventful day.
Shower, dojo, pick up kids, and headed home.
I played Zombie Dice and Tsuro with them before they went to bed.
Tonight we watched a new NCIS

April 8

The cat tree we got for free.

I drove this morning and Alex wasn't feeling well so he stayed home.
Jeff and I went to the dojo and tried out the exercise bands.
When we were done we went to Ralphs and got something to drink and relaxed a little and talked in the car until it was time to pick up the kids.
At home I cooked a casserole then picked them up from Karate.
This evening we played Castle Panic.
We watched Grimm tonight.

April 6

Kevin's Birthday Cookie

I slept in this morning and woke up just before Jeff left for karate.
I spent the morning with Katherine cleaning the house.
In the early afternoon we ran around the corner and picked up a free cat tree someone was giving away.
Later we went to the Post Office, Ralphs to get a cookie cake for Kevin's birthday then to the dollar store.
Erin and Kevin came over and we celebrated Kevin's birthday with the giant cookie and gifts.
Jeff worked on the sprinklers trying to get them working and I made a casserole.
We played Tsuro with the kids in the early evening and tonight we watched another installment of Elementary.

April 5

Jeffrey and Katherine's secret hiding place in the backyard.

This morning Jeff and I drove out to Simi to see a little terrier dog but I think she was too hyper.
We went by Costco to kill time then stopped in at Barnes and Noble to get Alex. We spent some time looking at the books.
At home Jeff and I drove down to Camarillo to meet a little poodle who we brought home on a trial basis.
We watched Elementary again tonight. We still have lots of them to catch up on.

April 4

Typical day.
Went by the market to get dinner, went to Costco for whatever we forgot yesterday, then picked the kids up and came home.Sarah left for a few days to see her boyfriend who was in town and Jeff and I watched Elementary.

April 3

The Plumeria we've been growing on the counter.

Nice warm shower this morning.
Then we left early and went to the dojo to look for boxes, swung by Costco, grabbed a drink at Ralphs then spent some time at the Agoura Animal Shelter.
We picked up the kids, brought them home, they went to Karate and I picked them up after making a dollar stare run.
Tonight we watched a new Dr Who!
So glad it's back!

April 2

Back to School!
I drove this morning.
Today Jeff packed and I cleaned the kitchen and we both took showers.
We got the kids, came home and continued working around the house.
I spent some time with the kids in the room visiting with the birds.
Jeffrey retrieved his old box of cars and airplanes out of the garage and played with them with Jeff.
I made a casserole tonight and we watched a new episode of Revolution.

April 1

Snails in the rain.

No school today.
We picked up Jeffrey and Katherine in the late morning then came home.
Sarah drove Alex to a surprise birthday party his friends threw for him.
Jeff and I did a round of shopping and hit the bank before he took them to karate.
I picked them up, went by the 99¢ store then got Alex and came home.
Sarah, Jeff and I watched Hawaii 5-0 and now it's off to bed!
