April 30

Jeffrey's performance.

We spent a bit of time listing on eBay this morning.
After we picked up the kids and dropped Alex off at home, we drove Jeffrey to the Civic Arts Plaza for rehearsal.
While he was there Jeff. Katherine and I hung out at the dojo and played Uno and Zombie Dice..
When we got back home I talked to Em for about an hour.
Jeff took Jeffrey back to the Plaza for his concert and when it was time, Katherine and I drove down there and watched his performance.
When we got home and the kids went to bed, we watched NCIS.

April 29

My orchid cactus' are starting to bloom.

Listing on eBay today and I sold the rabbit hutch we had gotten with the Guinea Pigs a few months ago.
Jeff and I went to Ralphs and Costco and while we were in there a small private plane crash landed on the golf course down the street. The people in the plane were OK..
Tonight I made Mac and Cheese and we watched Warehouse 13.

Sarah is still having issues and she went to the emergency room in the middle of the night.
We took her to the doc in the morning and maybe we can figure out what is wrong.
Alex had no school today but he did tutor in the afternoon.
Tonight we watched NCIS.

April 23 ~ Tuesday

Here's the new birdcage all set up in the kids room.

Alex got out of school early today so we picked him up at noon.
The little kids jumped on the trampoline for a very long time this afternoon and wore themselves out.
Sarah still was having problems so Jeff took her back to the ER.
This evening once they got back home we watched Revolution.

April 22 ~ Monday

This is the bigger Trampoline.

This morning Jeff and I went out to Simi Valley and picked up an even bigger trampoline that someone was giving away for free.
This one was harder to take down but the kids will love it!
We picked up something to drink on the way home.
Jeff stayed at home to unload the van while I picked up the kids.
I got some good bread from Bristol Farms for only a dollar a loaf.
At home Sarah wasn't feeling well and Jeff ended up taking her to the Emergency room.

April 21 ~ Sunday

This is the what Katherine and I are building.

This morning Jeff and drove out to Oxnard and met a lady (who just happened to be the lady I got the 2 free parakeets from a few weeks ago) at the Home Depot and traded her the big parrot cage I got for free for a huge parakeet cage.
Back on this side of town, we went to our Home Depot and bought a dowel to make 2 perches, some plants and some stain for a project I'm doing with Katherine.
At home Katherine and I got started building the Old Time Country Store.
I went with Katherine to pick up some free horse tack that I can sell on eBay.
We came home i made dinner then Katherine and I watched the original Yours, Mine and Ours.
This evening we watched a new episode of Dr Who.

April 20

Jeff went to Karate this morning and Katherine and I went garage sale-ing.
We picked Jeffrey up and went to the 99¢ store to pick up a few last minute gifts then I dropped them both off and the Simon's for a birthday party.
At home Jeff and I watched a couple of NCIS's then headed out to the market and picked up the kids and came back home.
I made chicken for dinner and we watched the last half of Defiance.

April 19

The landlords visited today (hence the carpet cleaning as of late).
It went well and after they left Jeff and I went down to the corner and ate at Taco Bell.
We picked up the kids and dropped Jeffrey off at Masons and Katherine and I went to the 99¢ store for gifts for a party they are going to tomorrow.
Jeff and I watched the first hour of a a new show called Defiance which was pretty good.

April 18

This morning I spent cleaning the carpet.
It turned out pretty good.
The kids wanted spaghetti (again) and we also watched Elementary again.
We seem to like routine around here!

April 17

Leo all curled up.

I drove the kids to school this morning.
Jeff and I went to Costco and bought a rug shampoo-er  then picked up the kids.
Alex was tutoring at the library so we dropped him off and I picked him up at 5:30.
We went to the 99¢ store together then picked up the Karate kids and came home.
I made some more spaghetti, Katherine cleaned the kitchen and we watched another Elementary.

April 16 ~ Tuesday

We drove out to the valley today to pick up stuff for the dojo.

We stopped in and ate lunch at Todai. YUM!

We stopped at Costco and Ralphs before picking up the kids.

At home I made Casserole and we watched Hawaii 5-0 tonight.

April 15

Today Jeff did Sarah's taxes.
There was a bad bombing at the Boston marathon so that was on TV all day.
Jeff and I picked up some ink at Staples before picking up the kids. I took Alex to Game Stop, went by the 99¢ store and them picked up the kids from Karate.
I made spaghetti for dinner and watched Once Upon a Time with J & K.
This evening we watched another Elementary.

April 14

The trampoline

Sunday and time to relax.
We watched Journey to the Center of the Earth and several NCIS this afternoon.
Alex and Sarah went to the Magic Castle with their grandparents.
Katherine finally came home late after spending 3 days at Gabby's.
Jeff and I went to the market, stopped into Subway and got me a sandwich then we came home and watched Elementary.

April 13

The dresser we picked up today.

Jeff went to Karate this morning and when he got home we played another game of Carcassone with Jeffrey.
Then we took Sarah to Costco to buy a box of nicotine patches to help her quit smoking.
I had an ad on Craig's List that I wanted a free trampoline and someone called me to tell me they had one.
We drove down to Camarillo and picked it up, disassembling it it first.
When we got home the kids helped unload it from the car and carry it around to the back yard where Jeff got it all set up pretty quick.
Alex and I went and picked up an old (VERY HEAVY) dresser from around the corner that someone was giving away and when we got back I made hamburgers and then Jeff and I played Munchkin with Jeffrey.
We watched another episode of Dr Who tonight.

April 12

The new game we are playing.

This morning Jeff and relaxed in bed for a while, took a shower then played a new game we hadn't played before called Carcassonne.
It was a lot of fun.
Then Jeff drove out to the valley to see a friend and I picked up Alex (stopped at Bristol Farms and got a yummy cinnamon loaf) then went and picked up Jeffrey.
Katherine had gone home with Gabby.
We stopped at the 99¢ store on the way home.
Jeffrey and I played Carcassonne two times and we had a lot of fun.
When Jeff got home we went out for cat food and then watched Dr Who.

April 11

Alex got out early today so we had to make the school run twice.
After the second run Jeff and I went down the street and picked up a free birdcage a lady was giving away.
I was hoping it would be good for the parakeets but the bars were too far apart so I will see if i can trade it for a larger parakeet cage.
After Jeff left for the dojo, Katherine and I cleaned the house and i made meatloaf.
We found a home for the little dog we brought home because she was deathly afraid of the cats.
I felt bad to see her go but I think it's better than her being scared all the time.

April 10

Tonight while Jeff was at the dojo the kids and I played Zombie Dice and Tsuro.
And we watched a new NCIS-LA in the evening

April 9

Another typical, non eventful day.
Shower, dojo, pick up kids, and headed home.
I played Zombie Dice and Tsuro with them before they went to bed.
Tonight we watched a new NCIS

April 8

The cat tree we got for free.

I drove this morning and Alex wasn't feeling well so he stayed home.
Jeff and I went to the dojo and tried out the exercise bands.
When we were done we went to Ralphs and got something to drink and relaxed a little and talked in the car until it was time to pick up the kids.
At home I cooked a casserole then picked them up from Karate.
This evening we played Castle Panic.
We watched Grimm tonight.

April 6

Kevin's Birthday Cookie

I slept in this morning and woke up just before Jeff left for karate.
I spent the morning with Katherine cleaning the house.
In the early afternoon we ran around the corner and picked up a free cat tree someone was giving away.
Later we went to the Post Office, Ralphs to get a cookie cake for Kevin's birthday then to the dollar store.
Erin and Kevin came over and we celebrated Kevin's birthday with the giant cookie and gifts.
Jeff worked on the sprinklers trying to get them working and I made a casserole.
We played Tsuro with the kids in the early evening and tonight we watched another installment of Elementary.

April 5

This morning Jeff and I drove out to Simi to see a little terrier dog but I think she was too hyper.
We went by Costco to kill time then stopped in at Barnes and Noble to get Alex. We spent some time looking at the books.
At home Jeff and I drove down to Camarillo to meet a little poodle who we brought home on a trial basis.
We watched Elementary again tonight. We still have lots of them to catch up on.

April 4

Typical day.
Went by the market to get dinner, went to Costco for whatever we forgot yesterday, then picked the kids up and came home.Sarah left for a few days to see her boyfriend who was in town and Jeff and I watched Elementary.

April 3

The Plumeria we've been growing on the counter.

Nice warm shower this morning.
Then we left early and went to the dojo to look for boxes, swung by Costco, grabbed a drink at Ralphs then spent some time at the Agoura Animal Shelter.
We picked up the kids, brought them home, they went to Karate and I picked them up after making a dollar stare run.
Tonight we watched a new Dr Who!
So glad it's back!

April 2

Back to School!
I drove this morning.
Today Jeff packed and I cleaned the kitchen and we both took showers.
We got the kids, came home and continued working around the house.
I spent some time with the kids in the room visiting with the birds.
Jeffrey retrieved his old box of cars and airplanes out of the garage and played with them with Jeff.
I made a casserole tonight and we watched a new episode of Revolution.

April 1

Snails in the rain.

No school today.
We picked up Jeffrey and Katherine in the late morning then came home.
Sarah drove Alex to a surprise birthday party his friends threw for him.
Jeff and I did a round of shopping and hit the bank before he took them to karate.
I picked them up, went by the 99¢ store then got Alex and came home.
Sarah, Jeff and I watched Hawaii 5-0 and now it's off to bed!
